Racing is on as scheduled

We will be racing as scheduled Monday 7/18 and Tuesday 7/19 with registration from 5:45 to 6:45.  It’s sure to be hot and humid so make sure to drink plenty of fluids and get in the shade when you can.

We are still in need of someone to take over concessions…even if you’re able to just work in concessions for a single evening it would help greatly.  We have the same parents working in there again and again and would like to give them a break and see someone else help out.  Remember, without our volunteers we wouldn’t be able to run the track, offer concessions, etc. so please consider taking on a task now and then.  Thanks!

Friday night racing cancelled

Due to all of the rain last night and this morning the track is just too wet.  We are cancelling races for tonight.  We do need some help in prepping the track for tomorrow however, so please come out to the track tonight if you’re able to help out.  Thanks!

Saturday, 7/16: Grand Forks State Qualifier Race, registration from 3:30 to 5:00

Sunday, 7/17: Grand Forks Race for Life, registration from 10:00 to 11:00

Dilworth Work Night

Dilworth will be having a work night tonight Wednesday, July 13 from 5-8. If you have trimmers of any kind come on out. They are hoping to get the track up and running for racing by Aug. 1st. Hope to see you out there 🙂

Gate Practice Tonight: 7/8/11

Looking for one last practice before heading out to Bismarck or St. Cloud?  Or just a no-pressure night to ride the track?  West Fargo BMX is having a gate practice tonight from 6:00 to 8:00.  Cost is $3.

What A Weekend!

Thanks go out to all of our volunteers who helped make this past weekend a success!

The weather was great and we debuted our new registration building – thanks to everyone who was involved with building it and getting it moved out to the track!

Congratulations once again go out to the Smith family (Brendan, Brody and Brock along with mom Candi and dad Brian) for collecting the most in donations to Race for Life – a combined $1554.00.  Wow, that’s really something to be proud of!  Along with the track donation ($10 from each registered rider on Friday) West Fargo BMX riders are responsible for sending almost $2,300 to this great charity.  Thanks for the support!

Thanks also the I-94 BMX of Fergus Falls for pairing up with us this weekend with their SQR and Race for Life – a very busy but successful weekend for both tracks!

Friday, 7/1 double point Race for Life: registration 5:45 to 6:45, open to anyone who wants to ride, no ABA membership necessary

Saturday, 7/2 double point State Qualifier Race: registration 10:30 to 12:00, must have full ABA membership

Fergus Falls will be holding their Race For Life on Saturday night and their MN State Quailifier Race on Sunday.

Racing Canceled Tonight, 6/27/11

Too much rain in the last few days so we are cancelling races tonight (Monday, 6/27/11).  Some will be out at the track working tonight and we could use help in prepping the track for tomorrow and this weekend if anyone is available to help.  Thanks in advance!

No Racing this week in West Fargo

We had hoped to race Tuesday but the condition of the track along with the weather forecast means that we will not.  Our next scheduled race is Monday, 6/6/11.  We will be racing Monday and Tuesday evenings now (registration 5:45 to 6:45) until further notice (until the Dilworth track starts racing).  Hope to see you next week!

Sunday Racing Canceled

Sorry Race Fans…we are also cancelling Sunday 5/29 – we’ve just had too much rain lately for the track to be ridden on.  We’re hoping to have the track race ready for our first regular Tuesday night race on 5/31.  Beginning Monday, June 6 we will be racing Monday and Tuesday evenings until further notice.  Maybe we can soon take advantage of the nice weeknights we’ve been having.

Racing Today May 28

Registration has been moved to 3-4. We are trying to get the track ready and give it some drying time. If you have the time please come out and volunteer with track prep and what ever else needs to be done. People will be out at the track around noon. Thanks!

Rain, Rain, Rain!  Tonight’s races are canceled due to the weather.  We will still attempt to race on Saturday and Sunday if the weather gets better.  Check the hotline before  you come out.  Thanks!

Weekend Racing!

Looking to do some racing?  Well, this weekend will be your chance at West Fargo BMX.  We were originally going to race this coming Saturday afternoon after the Dilworth SQR and in our regular slot on Sunday.  Since Dilworth will not be racing this weekend, now we have thrown Friday into the mix to cover the pre-race slot that would’ve taken place in Dilworth.  Our schedule for the weekend is:

Friday, 5/27:  Registration 5:45 to 6:45

Saturday, 5/28: Registration 1:00 to 2:00

Sunday, 5/29: Registration 1:00 to 2:00

Volunteers needed!  To be sure our trusty volunteers don’t burn out after 3 straight days of racing, we’d love to see  some new faces help out.  Volunteers are needed for track preparations, corner marshal, registration, scoring, etc.  and, of course, concessions.  Don’t worry if you don’t know what to do – we can teach you!  Thanks in advance to any who volunteer!
